This exhibition invites visitors to better understand Cavaillon’s identity by revealing the close links between agriculture, urban development and collective memory.

The exhibition [AGRI]CULTURES: Whisper of the Fields, Reflection of the City offers an immersion into the agricultural history of Cavaillon, through a sensitive perspective on the evolution of the territory and the essential role of the M.I.N. - National Interest Market.

Created by the Archives of Cavaillon, this exhibition retraces the birth, construction and activity of the M.I.N. from 1965 to 2025, highlighting the deep connection between the town and its agricultural heritage. Cavaillon, marked by a strong market gardening and agricultural identity, finds here a new reading of its history and development.

Through photographs, objects, testimonies and sound creations, visitors discover the women and men who shaped this agricultural landscape, as well as the transformations that accompanied the evolution of the town.

The exhibition route relies on numerous visual and sound supports to offer a lively and well-documented discovery of the history of the M.I.N. and local agriculture.

This exhibition is presented in partnership with the Municipal Archives, the Museums and the M.I.N. of Cavaillon, for a combined approach between heritage, transmission and the promotion of the territory.

The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m., a privileged moment to discover this exhibition and exchange around the agricultural history that still shapes the identity of the Luberon today.
